Ayesha Jhulka stole hearts when she danced to Pehla Nasha in Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikander. Ayesha Jhulka  was on the race to the numero uno position when she got married. But she has resurfaced in Bollywood in recent times.

Ayesha Jhulka was born on 28th July 1975  in Srinagar, Jammu & Kashmir, India. Ayesha Jhulka father was a Wing Commander with the Indian Air Force and she has a sister called Aparna. Ayesha Jhulka studied at the Loreto Convent in Delhi. 

Jhulka was rumoured to be involved with actors Akshay Kumar, Nana Patekar before she married Sameer Vashi.

Ayesha Jhulka got her break in cinema with Kaise Kaise Log (1983). Ayesha Jhulka breakthrough role was in Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikander (1992) as Anjali, a mechanic’s daughter and Aamir Khan’s best friend who secretly loves him. 

In Khiladi (1992), which was another hit, she was paired with Akshay Kumar and was about a prank that goes horribly wrong. The two stars came together again in Waqt Hamara Hai (1993) which was a flop. 

Partho Ghosh’s Dalaal (1993) saw her with Mithun Chakraborthy and in Vishwavidhaata (1997) she appeared with Jackie Shroff. None of her other releases did well. Recently she appeared as Khurshid in Umrao Jaan (2006) and as Mohnish Behl’s mother in Janani (2006).
